We are currently working with a "Dogs as therapy" volunteer (Sylvia) and her dog Dylan. Some children in Year 1 have the opportunity to read their book to Dylan (and Mrs Davy) each week.
Summer Term 2018 - A Blast from the Past!
This half term the Year 1 children will kick start their new topic by learning about the life of Queen Elizabeth II, including important events such as the coronation.
They will then move back in time to explore what life was like for children during the reign of Queen Victoria. They will visit The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum to experience Victorian cooking and Household chores. Then we will be exploring the work of Victorian artist William Morris and using press printing to create their own repeating pattern design.
