Autumn

Learning to learn weeks

In Bumblebee class we have been learning about the school day and who can help us in school.

We also learnt about hedgehogs and even got to touch one very carefully. We joined in the circus drama and watched Lewis Crathern (kite surfer) do some amazing things. We even got to make our own kites!

This term our topic will be Once upon a time and we will looking at and learning about different traditional tales.

Autumn

In our class we have been thinking and learning about the changes that happen in autumn. We went for a walk in the school grounds. Look at our amazing photographs that were all taken by the children in Bumble bee class.

Engineering week

We had an amazing time during engineering week. We learnt about different engineers and what they made.

We had a go at being engineers too!

We designed and made kites and tested them!.

Maths Problems

We used dots to solve a problem.

How many ways can you make a pattern using 3 or 4 different coloured counters?

Spring Term 2019

January

We had a fire engine and fire crew visit today. We got to look around the fire engine and hold the water hose. It was great fun.

Number Day

We had fun dressing up in a costume with our favourite number displayed to raise money for the NSPCC. We participated in the coin challenge and organised our coins into their values.

Polar Expedition

Our children joined the polar expedition and had a great time exploring.

Making Playdough

All of the children were given a challenge of making playdough independently. They realised that adding more flour or more water would change the consistency of the dough.
