Lyndhurst Infant School

Engineering Week

During Engineering Week at Lyndhurst, we learnt what it was like to be an engineer and were given the question, ‘How did they build that?’ to answer.

Engineers need: Imagination, Perseverance, Patience, Courage and Great Communication Skills to work well together.

Over the week, we designed and made bridges, planes, marble runs, towers and even the Eiffel Tower!

We also learnt about amazing engineers from the past and present whose designs have made our lives better, such as: James Dyson, Fiona Fairhurst, Mary Anderson and Frank Whittle.
